Student Expectations
Arrive on time to lessons with books
Practice 5 times a week a minimum of 15 minutes
Excused Absences: for illness or emergency, lesson may be rescheduled. Please inform Jade 2 days before with lesson schedule conflict so that we may schedule a make up lesson
Unexcused Absences: Jade notified day of lesson or hour beofe lesson that student cannot make lesson. Payment expected for this lesson with out a make up
Jade is teaching students to be resilient, vulnerable, brave, courageous, and musical
Showing up and starting is a great first step
Jade does not teach perfection
Making mistakes is a valuable part of the process and that it is more valuable to try and make mistakes then to have never tried at all
Lessons are $120 a month per 30-minute lesson
Payment due at the beginning of each month
If these terms cannot be reached, please talk to Jade about alternative options
First week of July- July 4th week - no lessons
First two weeks of September - no lessons - Labor Day Vacation
Lessons resume week of 9/14/2026
Thanksgiving Break (11/26/2026) : Wednesday – Friday off of the week of Thanksgiving
Halloween Break: every year on 11/31/2026 if on a lesson night
Holiday Break: December 24th – January 1st
Spring Break (Easter 3/28/2027): Thursday & Friday before Easter and Monday after Easter off
Memorial Day Break 5/31/2027: every year on the day of Memorial Day
5 business days chosen by Jade to take a vacation
Please let Jade know what Holidays you and your family practice so we can work your breaks into the schedule and play music important in your culture or religious beliefs
